A Generation of Volunteers

The Junior Volunteer Program offers community youth an insider’s view of the hospital in exchange for a few volunteer hours a week.
Junior Volunteers are 15-18 years old; they work a minimum of two hours a week, after school or on weekends.

PREVENTING INFECTION

Across the United States, hospital acquired infections result in 100,000 deaths each year. Because an infection can be a devastating outcome for a
surgical patient, infection prevention and control at ELIH is a priority.

Flu Infection Prevention Guidelines

Even if you are unable to get a flu shot this year, you can be your own best defense

Visitors to Medical /Surgical and Special Care Units must be at least 14 years old.

Patients are allowed no more than two visitors at one time. Additional visitors permitted at discretion of the Nursing Supervisor.

REGULAR VISITING HOURS
Medical /Surgical Unit: 10 AM - 8:30 PM

ICU / CCU: Immediate family only; two visitors at bedside, between 10 am-10 pm*

Psychiatry Unit: 4 PM - 8:30 PM Mon - Fri and 2 PM - 8:30 PM Sat, Sun and Holidays.

Quannacut Rehab: 1PM - 3:30 PM Sunday ONLY

>>NOTE: First time visitors to Quannacut Rehab MUST come at 12:15 for visitor orientation.

Quannacut Detox: By Appointment, CALL 477-5148

* Critically ill patients in ICU or CCU are permitted visitors only at the discretion of the Physician and/or Nursing Supervisor.
